Zac: Josh will normally have the idea of, like, what he wants me to play when he comes to me, and he’ll be like: “Don’t do anything too busy, you know, just play hard on it.”

Josh: No, he’s trying to be humble. He always makes my songs sound way better. Like if I’ll do, like, little programmed drums to it *makes drums noises* and he’ll come in and just destroy it. And just makes it… He makes the song, I mean, always.

Hayley: There’s, like, so many times when we’ll, like, Josh and I will write, and he’ll be on acoustic guitar, and I’ll try singing along. And, like, I just can’t come up with anything that I really love and— even if I love the music, and then we’ll start playing it at band practice with Zac and immediately I’ll be able to come up with a melody or something that, you know, I feel is good. Because I’m just really inspired by the rhythms and the, like, how— really just how tough Zac plays, like…

Zac: They’re just really nice. I didn’t ask them to say that.

Hayley: He totally paid us! Don’t believe him.

mmonique-:

The older I get, the more altered my childhood morals and beliefs become. I guess when we’re small, we look at things and assure ourselves that it’s not something we’ll ever do/agree/like. But the more mature we get and the more the things around us begin to change, it’s almost like our morals that we thought we believe in, become something that has no value any longer.
